The CIARD RING and CIARD

The CIARD RING is a project that was started within the CIARD movement and is led by the Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR).
It is the principal tool created through the CIARD movement to allow information providers to register their services and datasets in various categories and so facilitate the discovery of sources of agriculture-related information across the world.

The CIARD website and the RING website used to share the directory of participant organizations. Any organization that registered a service in the RING and ticked the "CIARD endorsement" checkox would be featured among the CIARD partners on the CIARD website.
Now the CIARD initiative has been sort of put on hold, and the website remains on line onyl as an archive.

Many of the CIARD partners are still working together and carrying the CIARD flag. Most of them have become members of the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition initiative (GODAN).
